The Center for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is dedicated to providing evidence-based, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for children and adolescents within several sub-specialities: – Anxiety Treatment: Including Social Anxiety/Shyness, Generalized Anxiety, PTSD, School Anxiety, Panic, Emetophobia, Specific Phobia, Skin-Picking, Trichotillomania – OCD Treatment: Exposure and Response Prevention for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder – PCIT for Behavior Problems: Parent-Child Interaction Therapy for behaviors such as tantrums, defiance, oppositionality, aggression, school refusal, behavioral and/or emotional dysregulation – ADHD Treatment: Reducing emotional outbursts, distractibility, impulsivity, overactivity, difficulties with schoolwork, and inattention – ADHD Evaluation: Comprehensive, systematic approach for assessing and diagnosing Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder – Autism Treatment: Improving social skills and daily living skills while reducing restricted interests and repetitive/challenging behaviors – Treatment for Sleep Difficulties: Including insomnia, night terrors, CPAP adherence, independent sleeping, and sleep training – Treatment for Eating Difficulties: Including picky eating, meal behavior, textural sensitivities, pill swallowing, and fear of choking/swallowing – Treatment for Toileting Difficulties: Including constipation, encopresis, and toilet training – CBT For Kids and Teens – Coping With/Managing Chronic Illness: Including treatment adherence, adjusting to new diagnosis, social, emotional, and behavioral concerns related to diagnosis (e.g. asthma, diabetes, obstructive sleep apnea, allergy concerns) All treatments utilize scientifically proven interventions that are specifically tailored to each client’s goals.
