Child Crisis Arizona

Child Crisis Arizona exists to provide children and youth in Arizona a safe environment, free from abuse and neglect, by creating strong and successful families. Our vision is “Safe Kids. Strong Families.”

For more than 40 years, Child Crisis Arizona has responded to community need to both prevent and intervene in child abuse or neglect. Our work falls into three broad categories: Prevention, Intervention, and Early Childhood Education.

Prevention services include the Family Education Programs. We provide free parenting courses, workshops, support groups, legal clinics and family socialization events that promote positive parenting skills and resilient families. We also operate Safe Kids Maricopa County which offers child and family safety tips to prevent accidental death or injury.

Intervention services are comprised of the Emergency Children’s Shelter, Teenage Group Home, Refugee Shelter and Resettlement Services, Foster Care and Adoption, and Independent Transitional Housing for Youth. Also included is the Counseling Program.

Early Education Services includes Early Head Start Programs and award-winning Preschools in Mesa and Phoenix.
