Become a part of the team as an ABA Technician in the ABA Program at Behavioral Health Network!

  • Responsibilities: What you will do
    • Provide 1:1 direct teaching to enrolled children and youth based on principles of applied behavior analysis
    • Implement behavior plans prepared and maintained by the supervising behavioral professional (e.g., BCBA)
    • Model implementation of behavior strategies for parent/caregiver of enrolled youth
    • Provide daily documentation of interactions with the identified service participant specific to the goal area for which ABA is authorized and all contacts with other providers
    • Maintain a direct service productivity 70% of available time

The ABA programs at Behavioral Health Network are intensive and flexible services that works with children and families to address and support behavioral health challenges. Services include Problem Behavior Reduction, Skill Development, Family Consultation and Training, and others, in any setting where the youth lives or attends school.

Job Requirements:

An ABA Technician at Behavioral Health Network have the following qualities:

Job Knowledge:

  • Good communication skills.
  • Interest in helping others.
  • Knowledge of behavior analysis, behavior planning, and implementation of behavior plans.
  • Ability to implement strategies to facilitate achievement of behavioral interventions.
  • Ability to use basic computer programs, such as Microsoft Word, for documentation purposes.
  • Previous experience working with youth with Serious Emotional Disturbance.
  • Registered Behavior Technician Certification preferred, but certification will be trained and payed for qualified candidates during time of employment if not certified.

Schooling or Equivalent:

  • A Bachelor’s or Associates’ degree preferred and one (1) year experience working with youth and families who require behavior management to address mental health needs using treatments based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
  • OR a minimum of two (2) years of relevant direct service experience working with youth and families who require behavior management to address mental health needs using treatments based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Other:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a verified clean driving record.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle available for work.
