ARNP or Psychiatrist – Full-Time, 40 Hours Per Week

Compass Health is currently looking for an ARNP or Psychiatrist to join our Medical Services Team!

 

What you will be performing

The ARNP effectively identifies, evaluates, and addresses the prevention and treatment of diseases, while administering quality care for their patients at the assigned location. The ARNP also completes special projects as assigned.

The Psychiatrist provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and treatment of mental health consumers. This position is also responsible for providing consultation and training regarding psychiatric illness to other clinicians.

 

What you will be carrying along

ARNP

  • Completion of an accredited program with a Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Nursing.
  • Active ARNP License in the State of Washington.
  • National Certification as Psychiatric – Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNPs).
  • Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) controlled substance registration.
  • Occupational Health Nurse Certification or similar Certification preferred.
  • 2 years’ experience in providing required services in a psychiatric setting preferred.
  • Current CPR certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Psychiatrist

  • M.D. or D.O. Degree.
  • Certificate from an accredited psychiatric residency program.
  • Board eligibility required. Board certification preferred.
  • Experience in community mental health preferred.
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License including vehicle and appropriate insurance, if applicable.

 

What you will be sharing

  • Ability to complete comprehensive physical and/or psychiatric evaluations and maintain appropriate treatment plans for mental health consumers.
  • Thorough familiarity with indications and management of basic primary care medications and their potential interactions with psychotropic medications. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners must have a thorough knowledge of medications used in the treatment of serious mental illness and their impact on primary care conditions.
  • Ability to educate patients and families on recovery management.
  • Knowledge of medical protocols and ability to work cooperatively with others in a team approach to health care.
  • Ability to maintain a positive, solution-focused demeanor when responding to conflicts or problems.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to multitask within a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including keyboarding skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to utilize an electronic medical record for collaborative clinical documentation.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment criminal background check.
