Job Overview
Responsibilities:
- Is compliant with all policies, procedures, and regulations set by the Federal and State governments, the agency, and other regulatory agencies, i.e. OSHA, Worker’s Compensation, state licensure and labor laws.
- Assists Clinical Manager with orienting, and supervising field staff, including performance field evaluations
- Participates in and maintains high standards for Quality Assurance activities.
- Organizes and directs QRR (Quarterly Record Review) per agency standards. Tabulates and prepares reports.
- Assists with in-services and staff training as requested by Clinical Manager
- Reviews documentation submitted by field staff for accuracy and appropriateness. Follows up with staff on clinical documentation problems that haven’t been resolved as directed by the Clinical Manager. Assigns ICD-10 codes in absence of Coder.
- Acts as a backup to Clinical Manager to direct and advise staff assignments and team handoffs to ensure skill match for appropriate patient care. Supervises case management as assigned by the Clinical Manager.
- Performs skilled client visits as necessary.
- Participates in administrative on-call rotation.
- Maintains and monitors Coumadin tracking for patients on anticoagulants and lab results for other clients.
- Responsible for branch TB testing per policy.
- Provides oversight of CNA care plan with management and supervision to ensure that CNAs have the proper training and credentialing to provide care to assigned patients.
- Manages and coordinates medical and non-medical equipment sign outs; PT/.INR, wound camera, laptop computers
- Monitors wound program and documentation to ensure policy standards are met.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of information relating to clients, employees, and the agency
- Promotes customer satisfaction for all clients, employees, and visitors to the agency
- Follows the agency’s Code of Ethics and Clients Rights
- Approaches tasks with a positive and flexible attitude and practices team behaviors
- Assumes responsibilities of the Clinical Manager during Manager absence from the office.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Clinical Manager
- Maintains continuing education as required by state licensure standards and provides documentation of same.
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of rules and regulations of all payer sources, as well as federal, state, and local regulations
- Knowledge of agency policies and procedures
- Licensed Professional Clinician
- Minimum of 1 yr. of clinical experience with supervisory experience preferred
- Able to use a computer, telephone and voice mail, fax machine, and other office equipment
- Able to demonstrate good written and oral communication skills
- Able to travel by car to client’s homes, to other branches, and to designated meetings
- Able to promote strong interpersonal relationships and to deal with the demands of the position
- Maintains continuing education as required by state licensure standards and maintains documentation of same.
