We are seeking a Assistant Eating Disorder Program – Adolescent Mental Health that will support the supervised living program by providing direct assistance and structure to the patients enrolled in the enhanced partial hospital eating disorder program

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Support and assist patient to adhere to daily structure and routines established for the supervised living environment
  • These include incorporation of a balance of work, rest and play activities during non-treatment time and completing activities of daily living
  • These include but are not limited to: structuring free time productively, preparing and engaging others with structured mealtimes and snacks
  • Support the adherence to healthy sleep and hygiene routines
  • Inform the program manager or designee of issues affecting the operation, safety or integrity of the supervised living site
  • Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations and monitor the continuity of the patients conduct while at the supervised living site consistent with the residents plan, care, and goals
  • Assist patients to practice assertive, direct communication and effective problem solving with each other and program staff including identifying and managing thoughts, feelings and behaviors and mediating interpersonal difficulties that arise in that setting
  • Provide timely and supportive communication with supervisory staff to deal with issues that arise in the supervised living setting
  • Assist in the organization of recreational and social activities that are consistent with the treatment goals of the patient, and healthy recovery behaviors
  • Maintain required records pertinent to the aims and operations of the supervised living site
  • Attend required meetings and trainings with Eating Disorder Program staff as required
  • Demonstrate ability to select interventions based upon the level of engagement exhibited by the patient in recovery

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position includes:

  • American Heart Association (AHA) – Basic Life Support (BLS) at time of hire
  • Valid Oregon Food Handlers Certificate or obtained within thirty (30) days of hire
  • Valid drivers license
  • One (1) year of experience in a mental health setting

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Associate’s Degree -OR- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or a related field
