As part of the continued expansion of the Jackson Health System, the Jackson Medical Group, a growing multi-specialty physician network of over 40 physicians who practice throughout Miami-Dade County at over 7 different specialty care centers seek to hire a Neurologist to meet the medical needs of its service areas. Our services range from primary care and preventive care to complex surgical procedures.The JMG Associate Medical Director is responsible for the planning, diagnostic development, management and evaluation of medical/services at the clinic/center of responsibility. Provides and maintains JHS Standards towards continuous, intensive direct medical diagnosis, consultation, and health care services to JHS outpatients and/or inpatients.
Experience: Generally requires 5 to 7 years of related experience.
Education: Doctorate degree in Medicine is required.
Licensure Certification: Valid Florida Medical License and DEA board certification are required. Other specialty certifications related to specialty are a plus. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification with at least 6 months validity required.
Knowledge Skill Abilities: General Competencies: Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work accurately while meeting multiple deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with critical thinking and professional composure. Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to exercise sound and independent judgment. Knowledge and skill in use of job appropriate technology and software applications. Management Competencies: Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Skill in monitoring/assessing the performance to make improvements or take corrective action. Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate programs. Ability to establish goals and objectives. Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
