Recruiting Behavioral Assistants

AAA Counseling and Consulting Services is looking to attract Behavioral Assistants to provide in-home or community-based services to children and families who live in Union and Middlesex counties. Behavioral Assistants will work under the direction of a licensed clinician and address specifically identified behaviors with targeted outcomes within an expected timeframe.

Job Requirements:

  • Applicants must be 21 or older.
  • A college degree in psychology, sociology, social work or a health-related field of study preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with children who have behavioral and/or emotional challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and carry out Behavioral Assistant Individual Service Plan behavioral targets as outlined in youth’s plan.
  • Participate and complete BA Certification through an on-going six-month training program provided by the NJ Children’s System of Care (CSOC).
  • Experience working with NJ CSOC CYBER database a plus.
  • Attend monthly supervision meetings.
  • Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and the reliable use of an insured and registered vehicle.
  • Bi-lingual a plus.
