Who We Need

Immediately Hiring Behavioral Health Technician’s to join our newest Youth Residential program, Doran House, located in Mesa! Opportunities available for 1st shift Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday 7:00am – 3:00pm. We also have shifts available working evening and overnight hours.

Starting salary up to $21.75/hour.

 

Copa Health employees provide quality services to enhance children served live an everyday lifestyle. Services are provided within a home setting; day programs, school related programs and in the community. The BHT II position promotes active treatment and a positive environment for children served as identified in their treatment plan / behavior plan. Behavioral Health Services (BHS) Employees adhere to all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and American Counseling Association (ACA) Code of Ethics.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires any combination of training, education, and experience listed below:

  • Minimum HS diploma/GED and two (2) – three (3) years of relevant experience in a behavioral health setting; OR
  • An associate degree and one (1) – two (2) years of relevant experience in a behavioral health setting; OR
  • A Bachelor’s degree (related or non-related) in the behavioral health field plus one (1) year of relevant experience in behavioral health.
  • Required to maintain a valid Arizona Driver’s License and can pass a motor vehicle screen for insurance purposes in order to transport clients.
  • Experience in working with multi-cultural and low socio-economic individuals.
  • Must have a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety or be eligible to receive within eight (8) weeks of hire.

JOB SUMMARY (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO)

  • Ensure the wellbeing of children served and provide a positive, supportive, and structured environment.
  • Assist, teach, coach, and mentor children served in skills of daily living to include: housekeeping, personal hygiene and grooming, and community activities.
  • Provide consistent monitoring of children’s activities & behaviors during scheduled shift to ensure services that maintain safety and wellbeing of the children served.
  • Engage children served in activities and interactions designed to encourage achievement of treatment goals.
  • Ensure the daily completion of goals identified in the Treatment Plan or Behavior Plan.
  • Demonstrate skills in planning, implementing, and coordinating health promotion strategies including health and wellness activities.
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of menus consisting of well-balanced meals and meeting applicable diet needs as required.
  • Advocate on behalf of children served to ensure the receipt of appropriate and timely services.
