Full Job Description

Due to growth within company, The Recovery Center hiring an additional Behavioral Health Therapist.

Providing high quality, compassionate and ethical counseling to clients in an individual or group setting

Teaching individuals how to modify their behavior with the intention of a full recovery

Developing with client an acceptable plan of action (treatment plan) and identify methods for monitoring and evaluating progress

Teaching clients coping skills and relapse prevention skills

Demonstrating respect and non-judgmental attitudes toward clients

Ensuring that all certification and licensing requirements are kept active and up-to-date to practice in the State of Kentucky

Providing complete accurate clinical documentation same day as date of service

Completing all recommended continuing education requirements

Communicating effectively with clients

Staying current with updated research and best practices

Ability to make sound decisions in case of emergency situations

Ability to conduct intakes and assessments

Ensuring HIPAA, ethical code of conduct and professional boundaries are maintained between staff and clients

Knowledge of Substance Abuse Prevention theories and activities

Strong computer skills required and experience with electronic medical records

Must be empathetic and have excellent listening skills

Strong assessment skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
