SCHEDULE: PRN

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, provides all services required as a therapist in a psychiatric partial hospitalization program including but not limited to conducting assessments, facilitating didactic and process groups, utilization review, treatment and discharge planning and documentation of patient care.

 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required:
A master’s degree in a behavioral health related field required.
State of California Licensure in LCSW, LMFT, LPCC or as a Psychologist.
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support required.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum one (1) years experience working with psychiatric and/or chemical dependency patients.
Ability to learn and utilize computerized patient care management system.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Must effectively read, write and verbally communicate in the English language
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

The Behavioral Health Therapist is directly responsible to the Department Manager or delegate. A collaborative relationship with other staff members is maintained.

Degree of supervision required: Minimal, individual proceeds on his/her own initiative, in compliance with policies, practices and procedures approved by the hospital’s Operations Division
