RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides intensive, short term assessment, linkage, counseling, and advocacy services to adults, children, and families who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis, in vivo at a level of intensity necessary to promote individual empowerment and recovery and reduce the need for inpatient treatment; assists in the development and implementation of individual services plans; provides support services to care givers; completes required documentation as prescribed by licensure, Medicaid, managed care groups or other third party payers with regards to clinical services and medical records keeping; and complies with all regulations applicable to program services; works as part of the team to ensure services and resources are coordinated among providers as needed to help individuals served live and function optimally in the community.
REQUIREMENTSMinimum RequirementsM1: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or other VA DMAS approved Human Services degreeM2: Must obtain registration as a Qualified Mental Health Professional – Adult Trainee (QMHP-A) and Qualified
Mental Health Professional – Child Trainee (QMHP-C) within six months of hireM3: Must meet Medicaid requirements for both Qualified Mental Health Professional – Adult (QMHP-A) and
Qualified Mental Health Professional – Child (QMHP-C) within three years of obtaining registration as an AdultTrainee (QMHP-A) and Qualified Mental Health Professional – Child Trainee (QMHP-C)
M4: Valid drivers’ license and safe driving record
Preferred Requirements P1: Meets Medicaid requirements for Qualified Mental Health Professional – Adult (QMHP-A) and/or Qualified Mental
Health Professional – Child (QMHP-C)P2: At least one year of experience providing behavioral health and/or developmental disability services to adults, children, adolescents, and their families
Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report will be required upon request. OurAgency maintains a drug-free workplace.
ANNUAL SALARY RANGE
$37,267 – $57,356$2,600 Annual Crisis Program Differential Shift Differential: $2.00 for 2nd shift; $3.00 for 3rd shift
