Job Overview

  • Represent PPA in service provider networks.
  • Assist in coverage of the Front Desk.
  • Develop and safe-keep a workplace that values and supports a culturally diverse work environment.
General Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate record of hours worked and turn in timesheets on schedule.
  • Attend trainings required of employees.
  • Maintain confidentiality of program, staff and clients.
  • Maintain cooperative relationships with residents/businesses in surrounding neighborhood.
  • Contribute to the mission of Catholic Community Services and Catholic Housing Services.
  • Contribute to and support a positive, team-oriented work environment.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Two years direct service experience which includes providing linkage services, advocacy for low-income populations and working with special needs populations.
  • Experience working with culturally diverse groups.
  • Working knowledge of local community agencies and resources.
  • Understanding of harm reduction and housing first service models.
  • Demonstrable experience with Trauma Informed Care.
  • Experience working with or knowledge of homelessness, mental illness and/or chemical dependency.
  • Ability to clearly set and maintain personal and work boundaries.
  • Demonstrable problem-solving/issue assessment skills, intervention planning/ implementation skills, and crisis intervention/conflict mediation skills.
  • Ability to contribute to a positive work environment that fosters respect, teamwork and excellence.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills with ability to maintain up to date and meticulous records, including case notes and electronic log entries.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work within the mission, goals and objectives of Catholic Community Services and Catholic Housing Services.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience working in a supportive housing facility or an understanding of residential settings.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Social Work or a related field.
  • Five years of experience working in Housing First Programs
