Job Overview

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Admits and evaluates prospective residents to FTS , employing intervention, interviewing and assessment skills.

Provides transition through consultation between levels of care (i.e. inpatient to outpatient).

Assessing resident’s needs and identifying specific presenting problems. Summarizes findings including medical and psychiatric history in the written integrated assessment.

Conducts all therapy in a professional and therapeutic manner, placing the patient’s dignity and rights above personality differences.

Utilizes clinical skills to facilitate group therapy and individual/family sessions.

Documents, on a daily basis, the resident progress and participation.

Conducts all therapy in a professional and therapeutic manner, placing the resident dignity and rights above personality differences.

Maintains appropriate written documentation in the resident chart on a daily basis, i.e. progress notes, treatment plans, treatment plan updates, pass requests and discharge criteria update.

Participate in the planning, development and evaluation of all residents.

Maintains a professional rapport with the referral source as well as utilization review personnel.

Assists the resident in discharge planning as needed i.e. provides referrals when necessary.

Provides opportunity for resident input into their plan by providing individual sessions as well as goal reviews.

Responsible for the orientation and guidance of new employees.

Attend all meetings as required. Maintains professional relationships.

Reads current professional literature to keep informed of professional techniques, theories and procedures.

Works with marketing personnel in the development of networking, forecasting and public relations in the area.

Monitor work performance for continuous quality assurance issues.

Work as a team with the Program Manager – staff to ensure the efficient and effective provision of high quality crisis housing services to resident.

Review and participate in research from internal/external sources.

Educationand/or Work Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Social Work or Psychology preferred or a combination of education/experience.

Knowledge and familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and issues related to family violence, particularly intimate partner abuse, child abuse, and teen dating violence.

Knowledge of crisis intervention and the therapeutic issues of supportive counseling.

Culturally sensitive and able to work with a multicultural client/customer population; ability to work in a non-judgmental manner and foster positive growth/outcomes; able to work as part of a team and maintain professional boundaries.

Computer literate in Word, Excel, and Power Point.

Speak, write and read fluently in English. Bilingual a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 – $26.00 per hour

  • Los Angeles, CA 90062: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Clinical Case Managers: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Case management: 1 year (Preferred)
