Job Overview
This position is Full Time Day Shift.
Clinical Manager is responsible for 24-hour operations of the unit. This 22-bed Unit is comprised of about 30 staff members both clinical and non-clinical staff members. Manager is responsible for quality of patient care, safety, patient satisfaction, and budget. Responsible for performance reviews, fostering teamwork, recruiting, staffing, and retention; this unit is supported by a Clinical Educator.
This unit’s patient population is Medical – Surgical patients that need intermediate/stepdown level of Care, and at times will also include an overflow of Medical – Surgical patients.
Three years of nursing experience required, must have 1+ year of leadership experience, and a BSN.

RN-Bachelor’s Level Degree
Required: Management – 1 year, Nursing – 3 years
Preferred: None, unless noted in the “Other” section below
Required: Basic Life Support, Registered Nurse

Required: Communication, Complex Problem Solving, Critical Thinking, Leadership, Mgmt of Financial Resources, Mgmt of Material Resources, Mgmt of Staff Resources, Service Orientation, Systems Evaluation

BSN required, graduate degree preferred. 2 years experience in a support leadership RN position, ie Unit Coordinator, Team Lead, or other like position may be accepted in lieu of 1 year formal management experience. Meets any requirements defined by specific specialty. For RNs in Behavioral Health – De-escalation training and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire. For RNs in Emergency Care – De-escalation training and physical intervention training within 90 days of hire. Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and abilities related to department operations for systems management, HR management, patient safety, quality outcomes and customer service. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills; must possess and demonstrate management and leadership skills.
