Clinical Psychologist Opportunity at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI

Gundersen Health System, based in La Crosse, Wisconsin, is seeking a Clinical Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) to join the Behavioral Medicine Department. The applicant must have completed an APA approved internship, have completed a postdoctoral fellowship, and currently be licensed or license eligible in the state of Wisconsin.

We are growing! Seeking two licensed psychologists with training and interest in general outpatient psychotherapy and psychological testing . Referral sources are MD colleagues from across the hospital system as well as integrated care. Current testing needs include IQ/Achievement, ADHD, and personality assessment. This position affords a great deal of autonomy and flexibility ; an interested psychologist could have a practice that is primarily therapy, testing, or any combination of the two. Many opportunities for involvement in collaboration groups as well as teaching and supervision are available.

In person and tele-health modalities of care are available, as is the opportunity to work from home or to have flexible hours (evening or weekend) for a portion of your FTE, if desired. We offer a competitive compensation package including loan forgiveness, CME dollars, CME and vacation days, an outstanding retirement package and great work-life balance among a collaborative and collegial group of psychologists.

Gundersen Health System is an award winning, physician-led, integrated healthcare system employing over 900 clinicians. Our mission is to distinguish ourselves through excellence in patient care, education, research and improved health in the communities we serve. La Crosse is a historic, vibrant city nestled between bluffs and the legendary Mississippi River. La Crosse boasts some of the best outdoor recreation, excellent schools including three universities, great cost of living, an endless variety of live entertainment and breathtaking beauty, making this a great place to call home.

Must have completed an accredited program and be eligible to obtain a license to practice in our multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations. Advanced practice clinicians work under the direct supervision of a physician. Clinician staff may need to provide outreach service as part of their role in the system. Teaching students, residents, fellows or clinical staff is cornerstone to our Medical Education philosophy and an expectation of all clinicians.
