I. Job Title: Clinical Supervisor/ STRTP Head of Services.

II. Job Description: Provide clinical supervision and provide clinical treatment for clients of Short-Term Residential Treatment Facility. Utilizing trauma informed care principles and clinical expertise in providing trauma- informed care strategies in working with clients. Responsible for providing clinical supervision as well as trauma-informed clinical care for clients.

Clinical Counselors; help manage and maintain clinically sound therapy and crisis management for at risk children and youth.

III. Qualifications

A. Active current unrestricted CA License to practice clinical therapy (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC)

B. Master’s Degree in the mental health profession from an accredited or state approved graduate school and one year’s experience working in human services settings, full time social work or therapy in a licensed Group Home, Foster Family or Adoption agency.

C. Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others, including availability, problem solving, interpersonal relations

D.Full time salaried position including on-call and emergency availability

IV. General Responsibilities

A. Provide clinical leadership in areas of comprehensive assessments, treatment plans, and strategic interventions

B. Provide individual and group supervision to supervisees

C. Oversee supervisees’ progress notes and all other necessary paperwork

D. Oversee and develop treatment plans completed by associate mental health clinician.

E. Provide mental health treatment services and support to youth and children , through individual, group, collateral, intensive care case management and crisis intervention. Case load of up to 6 clients

F. Provide assessment and intervention in response to crisis.

G. Ensure that supervisees perform their duties in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures

H. Monitor quality and effectiveness of mental health services

I. Experience with Medi-Cal billing and clinical documentation

J. Evaluating supervisees

K. Assist Directors/Facility Manager in maintaining compliance with CARF, contracts, agency, and regulatory requirements

L. Provide in-service training for social workers, staff, and foster parents, and participation in weekly staff meetings

M. Approve intake / admissions to STRTP

N. Maintain regular office hours and conduct field visits

O. Provide on-going coordination of care between clinical staff and residential staff in order to add to the “Team Effort” of the STRTP Program

P. Attend staff meetings on regular basis

Q. Other duties as assigned by supervisor

V. Physical Demands: Frequently sit, look down, turn neck, walk, stand, bend, stoop, reach, twist, squat, kneel, climb stairs; occasionally carry, push, pull and lift 25-50 pounds with force; frequently grasp or manipulate materials, equipment and supplies (including computer keyboard/mouse); continuously use seeing, hearing and speaking.
