Job Overview

This is an outstanding opportunity for you as a clinical therapist within our Suicide Prevention Intensive Outpatient Program to play an important part in helping Children’s Health make life better for children. Working as part of our multidisciplinary team, you’ll use your training and skills to provide evidence-based care to patients, deliver instruction to patients and their families, and precept novice therapists.

 

In addition to patient care, you’ll have opportunities to expand your skills through continuing education, providing psychological treatment and coordination of care throughout the continuum of treatment for patients in the Suicide Prevention and Resilience at Children’s (SPARC) Intensive Outpatient Program. As part of the treatment team, the clinical therapist is responsible for conducting an initial evaluation and assessment, conducting individual and family therapy weekly, facilitating teen group therapy, multi-family group therapy, parent education groups, and providing after hours crisis intervention support. The clinical therapist also provides coordination of care with outpatient providers prior to discharge from the program and conducts one and six months follow up post discharge as preventative measures. The position supports the multidisciplinary team during patient crisis and coordinates transfer to higher level of care when needed.

 

This is a full-time Monday – Friday position. Currently designated as a hybrid role with on-site and remote work.

 

Experience

  • At least one year of job-related experience as a fully licensed clinician, required. Three years, preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience, preferred.

 

Education

  • Graduate degree, required.

 

Licenses and Certifications

  • Required: Full license at a master’s level (LPC, LMFT, or LCSW).
  • Required: Initial Pediatric Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behaviors (PPMAB) within 60 days of hire.
  • Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 60 days of hire.
