Clinical Therapist

South Point Counseling Services (SPCS) has an opening for a full-time clinical therapist position. As a clinical therapist, you will be part of a team of 34 clinicians that love what they do and are able to help their clients change their lives and feel better. SPCS offers case evaluation and outpatient treatment to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families who are experiencing mental and emotional distress and/or chemical dependency. Responsibilities:

• Provide psychotherapy services
• Perform mental health assessments and develop treatment plans
• Document client interactions and sessions appropriately and timely
• Perform all duties in compliance with the NASW Code of Ethics

Requirements for Mental Health Clinician:

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree
• Licensure current in the state of Utah: CSW, ACMHC or AMFT
• Experience with Evidence Based Interventions
• Effective interviewing skills and evaluation techniques
• Knowledge of different modes of psychotherapy, including crisis intervention skills
• Principles and techniques of behavior assessment and modification
• Knowledge of general psychological principles and concepts
• Proficiency using MS office with the ability to learn new software quickly
• Experience with Play Therapy is a plus
• Bilingual is a plus

Job Types:

Full-time, two options:

On salary with benefits: paid time off, medical/dental insurance, compensation for CEUs and weekly supervision

Part-time (hourly, no benefits)

Hours are flexible. You can start as early as 7am and end your last sessions at 10pm.
