Counselor – Tablet/Packet Tech Based Program

Location: Souza Baranowski Correctional Center Shirley, MA, working with incarcerated adult males. This is a locked facility with strict dress-code and other policies. Counselor I Position for Tablet/Packet Tech Based Program

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM with possible evening shift(12pm-8pm) as needed to meet program needs with most holidays off.

Pay rate: $20.19/per hour ($42,000 annually)

• (Salary differential is paid for those who are fluent in the Spanish language).

The Counselor is responsible for:

• Ensuring that all inmates are provided with education in the assigned curriculum for the Tablet Program (also called the Tech-Based Treatment Program) approved by the Department of Corrections, and are responsible for written documentation in the case records.
• Participating in a multi-disciplinary team meeting on a weekly basis or as directed.
• Being able to work the hours required to meet the business needs of the organization including the ability to work more than 40 hours in a work week.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree or equivalent experience in criminal justice, human services, education or closely related field required.
• Familiarity with Android operating system a plus
• Based on a mandate from Massachusetts Department of Corrections, any Spectrum employee working in a MA DOC facility or pursuant to the MOUD Contract must be fully vaccinated and no exemptions are permitted.
