PCS is seeking full-time bachelor’s level drug and alcohol therapists to join our team!

Pennsylvania Counseling Services provides a variety of treatment approaches designed to meet the needs of each individual, using the diverse educational background, skills and expertise of our clinicians. Client treatment would involve facilitating intake, individual, and group therapy sessions. Our therapists draw on their educational background, skills and expertise as well as that of the treatment team to provide effective treatment that recognizes the needs of the client and helps them move forward in their life. In this position, you will receive support for growing your career at PCS by receiving 2 hours of individual supervision per week and 1 hour of group supervision per week during the first 6 months of employment. This time will help you with case collaboration, processing your client’s treatment path, receive feedback on the treatment you are providing and have a safe space to ask questions and dig deeper into your skillsets as a therapist.

Main Job Duties:

  • provide direct treatment and counseling services to individuals, families, and groups for mental health and addiction issues
  • complete intakes and assessments for new clients including diagnosing
  • make treatment recommendations
  • complete treatment plans and update as treatment progresses
  • complete documentation for individual and group sessions completed
  • communicate with referral sources and other service providers as needed
  • complete discharge planning and step down services


  • Full time counselors work Monday through Friday and are required to include 2 evening shifts
  • Our offices are open from 8am-8pm
  • Individuals have the ability to set their own schedule and hours within some parameters to allow for you to have a work/life balance

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health, Addictions or related field
  • 1 year of clinical experience in a health or human service agency preferred but not required
  • CADC certification preferred but not required
  • Experience diagnosing and providing individual therapy is preferred but not required
  • PA State Police Criminal History Check
  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance
  • FBI Clearance through the Department of Human Services
