DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position is responsible for directing a large county mental health program including planning, analysis, coordination, and implementation of community mental health programs. Duties involve establishing service standards, and developing policies and procedures to implement laws and regulations. Supervision is exercised over professional and sub-professional and clerical staff with considerable independence under the direction of the MH Deputy Administrator.

Work Hours and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment; 37.5 hours/week
  • Work hours – 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday with a 30 minute lunch period

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

Qualifications:


  • Minimum Experience and Training – 
    One year as a County Mental Health Program Specialist 2; OR five years of professional level experience in the field of mental health, including three years of administrative, supervisory, or consultative work; and a bachelor’s degree; OR any equivalent combination of experience and training.
