CRISIS RESPONSE SPECIALIST – MARICOPA COUNTY

Full-time, non-exempt, hourly position

Reports to the Program Director

Position is fully remote with travel within Maricopa (100%)

Position Summary

Maricopa County is offering supportive services to children in need. Spectrum Healthcare’s new Crisis Response Team will begin providing services starting October 1st and this is a wonderful opportunity to get involved in the launch of an exciting program.

Spectrum Healthcare is seeking Crisis Response Specialist to work on our mobile crisis team in the Phoenix Area. This is an exciting opportunity to assist children and their families through times of crisis. The Crisis Response Specialist, under professional supervision, accepts direct calls from Solari and supervisors for prompt community response on a flexible schedule that may include providing client transport to medically necessary services and well checks. The Crisis Response Specialist will be trained in performing crisis assessments, crisis intervention, writing emergent petitions for involuntary hospital admission and ASAM’s when warranted. Response Specialist will be given resources to develop a broad knowledge of area resources, funding streams and insurances to either place clients in community with supports, in network or other hospitals according to the level of care needed. Crisis Response Specialist is able to perform crisis assessments in the community and ED, has strong verbal and written clinical skills, is able to staff cases for inpatient and write safety crisis plans with BHMP’s and supervisors oversight.

Qualifications

Previous knowledge of child development and family systems is a plus, but not required. Ability to work closely with law enforcement, first responders, and persons receiving crisis services and their supports under stressful situations at all hours in a professional and calm manor is a requirement.

Now accepting applications for all levels of specialty and experience to include BHT and BHPP. Past experience as a first responder, teacher or health care professional is applicable.

Additional Considerations:

  • Successfully pass background check
  • Have or obtain fingerprint clearance card
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule a plus
  • CPI training a plus

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

Occasional lifting lift and/or moving up to 15 pounds. Frequently move from one location to another, drive and navigate to home/community based appointments. Walking, sitting, standing, or kneeling and occasional climbing or balancing and stooping. Moderate/High noise level in various environments. Frequently participate in conversation, be able to speak, read, and write fluently in English, have basic computer skills.
