Abbe Center for Community Mental Health, is a subsidiary of AbbeHealth Services located in Cedar Rapids and Marion, Iowa.
Responsibilities
Community Based Services focus on providing skill teaching and assistance with daily living activities for individuals with mental illness within a 24-hour community setting. This is a great opportunity to start or advance your career in Human Services.
Direct Support Professionals will work with clients teaching daily living skills, assisting them in developing skills which will allow them to live in the most independent way possible, supports community integration activities and helps them to develop natural supports in the community. Staff are responsible for participating in the development of the person centered care plans and daily documentation of activities completed with the clients each shift.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. No experience necessary, we provide extensive training. Must pass records and driving checks, pre-employment drug screen and have a valid Iowa driver’s license.
