Job Summary and Qualifications

 

Supports department by providing quality case management and discharge planning services for a specific group of patients hospitalized for treatment of psychiatric or emotional disorders, their families, spouses and significant others. Also, by serving as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team supporting the unit’s treatment program and philosophy, assuring the delivery of quality care.

 


Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:

Required Education: Master degree in social work, counseling, psychology or equivalent bachelors

degree in a recognized mental health field

Preferred Education: LCSW(A), LPC(A), BSW or equivalent

Required License: None

Preferred License: None

Required Experience: One year of experience as social worker/counselor

Preferred Experience: Two years experience as stated above
