Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board

Job Overview

Since 1971, Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board has provided a comprehensive continuum of high-quality, essential, and community-based services to citizens of the Peninsula who are affected by mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders.

Discharge Planning and Case Management: This program is a function of the Regional Reinvestment Project, which was developed and implemented to reduce the amount of inpatient beds at state psychiatric facilities and to develop community supports. This program funds indigent local psychiatric hospitalizations and has aided in the development of three local Crisis Stabilization Units.
