JOB TITLE: Group Facilitator
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Fee For Service
SCHEDULED HOURS: Varies between Monday-Thursday 5pm-8pm
PROGRAM: Explore East
SITE LOCATION: Danielson, CT
OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
To provide quality educational services to clients referred by the judicial branch in response to court related offenses.
By:
- Co-facilitating weekly educational programs for populations such as domestic violence and those charged with operating under the influence
- Following focused curriculum designed to teach male offenders about the effects of their behaviors and ways to build effective skills at preventing further incidents.
- Responsible for record keeping as assigned and communicating updates about group members to supervisors.

Safety Environment: Ability to identify, prevent and report unsafe situations and uses appropriate procedures to assure safety during emergency situations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attends trainings as assigned and required.
- Deliver educational program in a group format.
- Provide case formulation related to client’s treatment readiness or developmental level and problem identification.
- Uses supervision/consultation to learn and provide more effective treatment services.
- Must attend supervision as assigned for program.
- Maintain documentation in compliance with agency and program standards.
- Participates in staff meetings, supervision, trainings and other meetings as assigned.
- Additional duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Masters preferred.
Experience: Experience with content area: eg. Substance abuse, domestic violence. Experience with groups or education setting.
Training: Training in content area of group.
