Job Summary: This Human Service Coordinator must be licensed and will provide evidence-based trauma focused mental health services for victims of crime with a specific focus on sexual assault victims. This position includes both early intervention and longer-term trauma counseling via community-based approaches. The position requires providing culturally responsive services to underserved populations (e.g., people of color, LGBTQI individuals, people living in poverty, people who are undocumented). Outreach services will be provided including offering mental health services within a rape advocacy center. Duties also involve coordinating with community partners, clinical documentation, and clinical services tracking.

Payscale Salary Range: UNIV-Band 6: $41,778.00 – $59,538.50 – $77,299.00 (min – mid – max)

Job Duties:

  • 30% – Provide evidence-based counseling for sexual assault victims. Services will include individual and family therapy, with a focus on providing Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Written Exposure Therapy. Therapy will be offered in-person, in community, and via telehealth. – (Essential)
  • 25% – Provide evidence based individual and family counseling for victims of crime in-person, in community, and via telehealth. Services will include individual and family therapy and include offering trauma-focused treatments (e.g., Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy) and therapy for grief. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy may also be offered. – (Essential)
  • 15% – Provide evidence-based early intervention services for sexual assault survivors, Implement case management, screenings, STI education and interagency coordination. – (Essential)
  • 10% – Conduct mental health assessments to determine impact of victimization to facilitate treatment planning. – (Essential)
  • 5% – Track program reporting information and victim services documentation in an excel database. – (Essential)
  • 5% – Conduct medical documentation. Provide assistance with NCVC clinic and Center wide related activities (phone coverage, vehicle maintenance, preparation for training events, etc.). – (Essential)
  • 5% – Participate in team meetings and community-based meetings as well as provide community trainings on trauma and victimization. – (Essential)
  • 5% – Perform other duties as assigned. – (Non-Essential)

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A bachelor’s degree and two years professional experience in human services or social services programs.

Preferred Education, Experience & Additional Skills: Master’s Degree in specialty that involves providing behavioral health treatment. Have a license or be license eligible to practice. Have experience in leadership, supervision and working with survivors of sexual assault and/or victims of crime encouraged. Comfortable providing community-based outreach services. Experience working with multidisciplinary teams. Experience with evidence-based mental health treatments (especially for PTSD) desired. Comfortable providing community-based outreach services. Experience working with multidisciplinary teams. Experience tracking service delivery Knowledgeable with Excel, RedCap. Knowledge of various software programs such as SPSS, Word, Access, PowerPoint a plus. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to plan and organize work activities and prioritize task completion according to schedules and goals. Ability to exercise judgement and discretion in interpreting and applying policies and procedures helpful. A strong work ethic. Occasional evening and work hours for patient care and for community events required. A drivers license is required. This is an in-person position with some remote work allowed.
