Job Overview

Responsibilities

Supports the purpose and procedure of the entire intake and admission process. Assists supervisor in department procedures in the following areas: daily census records, inquiry calls and referral phone log, and ensures that the level of treatment and clinical services is appropriate to all patient needs. Responsible for fostering and maintaining positive relationships with referral sources. Responsible for conducting mental health assessments, communicating with psychiatrists in determining level of care needed, facilitating admissions and referrals to and from other agencies, conducting pre-certifications and utilization reviews. 8P-8A SAT/SUN AND ONE NIGHT SHIFT DURING THE WEEK

Qualifications

Minimum of master degree in human services field; or a Registered Nurse; or a licensed counselor/therapist. One to two years Intake experience and/or training preferred.
