Job Description

Under the direct supervision of the Core Recovery Director of Clinical Services, is responsible for case management and treatment counseling for a caseload of program patients. Performs tasks required to screen patients relative to program eligibility requirements, conducts intakes on new patients, conducts ongoing interviews, develops patient treatment plans, coordinates services provided to the patient, tracks/records, and reports on patient progress. Conducts chemical substance abuse and mental health assessments and provides individual, family, and group PHP/IOP treatment. Carries out delegated administrative duties as required ensuring efficient and effective patient service delivery.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conducts clinical assessments of patient substance use/abuse and mental health issues, develops treatment plans.
  • Ability to provide EMDR therapy.
  • Plans and carries out an individual, family, and group PHP/IOP counseling treatment of adults and adolescents.
  • Performs case management tasks necessary to scheduling and conducting counseling sessions, determining patient program eligibility, screening patients, patient intakes, and tracking/recording and reporting patient progress.
  • Maintains timely, accurate, and complete records of patients on caseload. Must complete intake and session reporting within 24 hours of appointment.
  • Coordinates care with individuals who optimize client care, such as PCP’s and Specialists.
  • Attends scheduled clinical supervision conferences and counseling meetings for information exchange, case reviews, and patient treatment.
  • Assists immediate supervisor in performing additional duties.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Master’s degree in Counseling/Psychology/Clinical Social Work/Justice Studies focusing on clinical counseling.
  • Two years of direct practice experience working with substance abuse/mental health populations and working with trauma-related issues.
  • Knowledge of substance abuse and mental health counseling theory and techniques.
  • EMDR trained
  • Must have good writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have good individual, family, and group therapy skills.
  • Ability to effectively use DSM V in diagnosing.
  • Must possess or be eligible for an Associate level license
  • Independent licensure may substitute for direct experience
  • Fingerprint Clearance Level I
  • CPR certification

Pay: $50,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year

  • Master’s (Preferred)
