HCA Florida JFK North Campus is a 245-bed acute care facility that has been serving the community since 1975. HCA Florida JFK North is accredited by the Joint Commission. We are the largest provider of Behavioral Health Services in Palm Beach County offering the full continuum of prevention, treatment and support to address mental health and wellness for Children, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric patients. Our 88-bed Pavilion adjacent to the campus is the largest Baker Act Receiving facility in the county that accepts children while our outpatient services include a partial hospitalization program (PHP), and both adult and adolescent intensive outpatient programs (IOP and AIOP). Our additional services include: a 24-hour emergency department, critical care, comprehensive diagnostic imaging, outpatient rehabilitation, orthopedic care, wound management and a pain management center.

Job Description:
The Social Worker position provides group, individual and family therapy as well as organizing and directing treatment resources, discharge planning, patient progress, compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards and assuring that related issues are effectively addressed and communicated to the patient, family and others involved in the treatment process. Provides family groups, group, individual and family therapy, performs psychosocial assessments, and is an active member of the admission/treatment/discharge team. Make assessments as needed for patients who are a possible threat to themselves or others, and perform the Baker Act for those who meet criteria for involuntary assessment.
Qualifications
- Masters Degree required.
- Current LCSW
- Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider required.
- At least one year of experience working within the mental health/behavior health unit strongly preferred.
- Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
- Ability to quickly make decisions to report patient condition with minimal supervision.
