Summary:

The Lead Clinician will be responsible for coordinating clinical services, training new clinicians, and supervising the clinical staff.


Essential Functions:

  • Ensure that contracts and licensing regulations are understood and practiced
  • Ensure the professional capacity, therapeutic and cultural competence of the clinical team and residential staff by providing training, feedback, and clinical supervision
  • Oversee all clinical services provided within the program, supervising the Lead Clinicians
  • Ensure quality measures and outcomes are met in accordance with best practice and therapeutic standards
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments using standardized measures
  • Ensure the clinical records meet the requirements of standards. Prepares for audits accordingly
  • Work with other program area Leads or Directors to ensure service delivery, safety plans, regulations and guidelines are followed and maintained
  • Facilitate collaborative working relationships with all clinical staff, multidisciplinary teams, community partners, service providers, management, and staff to ensure the needs of the residents/children and program goals, objectives, and services are being met at the highest quality, work within the established ethical boundaries always
  • Work as a team player and exhibit professional behavior and a positive attitude with both internal and external clients that reflects positively on the Agency and is consistent with Agency policies and practices
  • Actively participate in exhibiting cultural awareness and sensitivity when interacting with children, parent(s)/guardian(s), staff, and the community
  • Obtain the appropriate number of CEUs each year to maintain licensure, if applicable


Knowledge and Skills:

  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to document processes and perform record keeping
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Patience, tolerance, and kindness
  • Prioritize and organize responsibilities and duties efficiently


Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in social work with 2 years of postgraduate direct service delivery experience
  • or a master’s degree or Ph.D. in psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science in which clinical experience is a program requirement, plus 2 years of postgraduate direct service delivery experience
  • or bachelor’s degree plus 5 years clinical employment experience in behavioral sciences.
  • Must have supervisory experience
  • Must be licensed to provide clinical services in the state where the care provider is located
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS).
  • Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, a background check, and provide proof of being fully vaccinated for Covid-19 after accepting a conditional offer of employment.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will have direct reports.


Work Environment

This position operates in a field work environment, seven days a week and holidays.


Physical Demands

The employee may be required to stand, walk, twist, turn, bend, climb, lift, or kneel. Occasional lifting to 40 Ibs may occur.


Travel

May require travel.
