Lead Clinician

Child Family Resiliency Team (CFRT) Services: CFRT is a new service that is meant to be a clinically intensive service that is flexible, responsive and designed to provide a safe, positive, therapeutic, and collaborative treatment program. It is designed to involve both the school and family system to improve outcomes for youth struggling with serious emotional, social, and mental health needs. CFRT staff will dedicate time to work in the home, school, and community settings delivering individual, group, and family therapy.

Location: Dubois, PA

Hours: 40 hours per week, non-traditional work hours and on-call availability

General Description of Duties

The Lead Clinician is responsible to provide high quality treatment that will help clients and families learn to respond to their daily environment. Services may include support planning, individual, group, and family therapy, crisis intervention, case management and coordination with the school and family.

Qualifications

  • Licensed LCSW, LSW, LPC, LMFT, or have a license eligible master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or another related mental health field AND
  • Minimum of 1-year experience working with youth in a behavioral health setting

Specific Description of Duties

  • Reviews all previous assessments and evaluations for each client
  • Writes detailed and strength-oriented treatment plans that will guide the overall direction of treatment interventions for youth
  • Remains active in the training, evaluation, monitoring and implementation if this plan in the youth’s school
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy in the program, home and/or community setting for the youth and their family
  • Oversee monthly family support group meetings
  • Conducts group treatment sessions focused on helping youth develop specific competencies that are related to their treatment plans
  • Works collaboratively within the treatment team and community and from a multi-systemic perspective
  • Will ensure that consistent, daily communication is maintained with educational staff
  • Engages in clinical supervision with the clinical supervisor and is open to suggestions and additional training if needed
  • Conducts treatment plan reviews in collaboration with the youth, family, treatment team, educational staff and any other individuals involved with the youth.
  • Conducts assessments of treatment outcomes and interprets progress and regression from these assessments to modify treatment direction
  • Refers, monitors, and collaborates with the youth’s psychiatrist to ensure care coordination and addresses psychiatric concerns, needs and progress
  • Assist with transfer of skills to family.

Physical Requirements

  • Reach overhead.
  • Lift and carry objects over thirty (30) pounds.
  • Bend to reach objects from the floor.
  • Stand or sit for extended periods of time with reasonable breaks.
  • Operate office machines.
  • Vision and hearing within normal limits.
