Job Overview

The BY YOUR SIDE Lead – RBT’s primary focus, under the direction of a BCBA, is primarily responsible for the maintenance of the therapy plan. The Lead Technician will collect data on teams’ compliance with BYS protocol, support parent training opportunities, and assist supervisors with the continuous evaluation and oversight of the delivery of clients’ treatment plans. The Lead – RBT does not design interventions, assessment protocols, or treatment plans, but rather assists supervisors in their implementation. This position’s schedule will require flexibility.

This position’s hours of work and days vary based on the needs of clients/business. Evening, weekend work and overtime may be required, as needed.

The Lead – RBT is a full-time, non-exempt position and operates in a professional and clinical environment. The employee may regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Job Description
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending regular in-house training and meetings.
  • Maintain a 28-hour caseload.
  • Comply with the ethical standards of the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
  • Responsible for client specific training with BTs, which would include client meetings, training sessions, supplemental overlaps for ongoing support and debrief sessions with BTs.
  • Assist BCBA with skill acquisition and behavior reduction assessments.
  • Under the direction of the BCBA, assist with the creation and upkeep of the clients’ Learning Trees in Central Reach.
  • Perform ongoing review of client’s progress in Central Reach and alert BCBA if a program change is needed.
  • Responsible for the preparation, delegation, organization and maintenance of therapy materials as instructed by BCBA.
  • Responsible for weekly auditing of therapy notes documentation.
  • Provide coverage within BYS Academy as needed for the lead facilitator position.
  • Provide coverage for clients (OTM) as needed.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings and training provided to increase professional knowledge
  • Completion of daily activities/routines within the center (i.e., opening/closing procedures, cleaning, organization and creation of material, etc.).
  • Collect data in Central Reach, write insurance notes at the end of each session, and convert all appointments within specified period of time.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Uphold and maintain BYS core principles, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification required.
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or enrolled in psychology, communication disorders, education or related field preferred.
  • Creation and compiling of therapy materials (e.g., visual supports such as those on Boardmaker®, token boards, pictures, objects, etc.).
  • Active, good standing employee with no disciplinary action or performance improvement plan that has been in effect for the past 90 days at BY YOUR SIDE.
