Kindman & Co. is a group practice that provides counseling services to individuals, couples/partners, families, and groups in Los Angeles and throughout California. As social justice-informed therapists, we primarily serve folx who have been marginalized or “othered” by society and are seeking support to build thriving relationships and communities, heal trauma, and bring about positive social change.

We are looking for a stellar human to join us as a Licensed Psychotherapist (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, etc.) or Associate Psychotherapist (ASW, AMFT, APCC, etc.) and get to work together with our fabulous team of real, human therapists! We are messy, we laugh a lot, we use curse words, and we reallyyy like each other.

This position primarily involves providing therapy for individual, couple/partner, and family clients; managing your caseload and scheduling responsibilities; assisting in marketing efforts (blog writing, networking, etc.); completing all essential clinical documentation and treatment plans; and fostering our practice community through efforts to build relationship with your colleagues.

Position Requirements:

-An active license or registration with the BBS of the state of California. Applications are only considered from those who have an active license or registration.

-Availability to work early morning (8AM) and/or late evenings (until 8 or 9PM) and one weekend day

-Enthusiasm to work from a relational approach

-Experience & interest in working with adults & relationships/couples

-Willing to lead a minimum of one group for a topic/population of your interest or specialty

-A weekly minimum of 13 direct client hours and two days per week for part-time clinicians, or an average weekly minimum of 23 direct client hours and four to five days per week for full-time clinicians

-Desiring a collaborative and team environment where you can envision yourself in a group practice setting long-term

Preferred Qualifications:

-Active social justice values and anti-oppressive, liberatory therapeutic framework

-3 years training/experience working with marginalized populations in social justice-oriented work and familiarity with traumas associated with systemic oppression.

-Previous training and experience working with LGBTQIA+ folks, polyamory and consensual non-monogamy, BDSM, kink, etc.

-Previous experience and training in Relational Gestalt therapy and/or PACT therapy with couples

-Experience and desire to work with teens and/or families
