B. Riley House ia an LGBTQ+Drug and Alcohol Treatment Facility in Cleveland, Ohio. We provide all memebers of the LGBTQ+ community and our allies a safe, temporary recovery -oriented living environment. Our focus emphasizes on structure , routine and spiritual practices utilizing the 12-step approach. We offer alcohol and drug treatment services, and mental health assessment and treatment to help each individual along their journey into long-term recovery from substance abuse challenges.

Our work environment includes:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated LISW Supervisor to join B Riley Sober House team. We are a Theraputic Community based Treatment facility that assists LGBTQ+ and allies to overcome substance use disorder. We are a substance free workplace; hence the applicant must pass a drug screen, fingerprinting and background check. A valid State of Ohio Drivers License .

The LISW (Licensed Independent Social Worker) Supervisor at B Riley Sober House plays a pivotal role in overseeing clinical services and supporting the delivery of effective therapeutic care for the LGBTQ+ allies affected by substance use disorders. The primary responsibility of this role is to supervise a multidisciplinary team of clinical staff, including social workers, therapists, counselors, and other professionals involved in SUD treatment. The LISW Supervisor ensures compliance with all regulatory standards, facilitates ongoing staff development, and provides direct supervision and guidance to staff to enhance treatment outcomes for clients.

Duties: Includes the following and /or other duties that may be assigned

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Supervision:
  • Provide regular supervision to staff clinicians, including licensed social workers, counselors, and other mental health professionals.
  • Review and approve treatment plans, case notes, progress notes, and other clinical documentation.
  • Conduct individual and group supervision sessions, offering guidance on therapeutic techniques, ethical issues, and case management strategies.
  • Offer clinical support and mentorship to staff as needed, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Treatment Planning & Implementation:
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of individualized treatment plans for clients with SUD.
  • Ensure treatment plans are aligned with best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and case reviews, ensuring the coordination and integration of services across disciplines.
  • Program Oversight & Quality Assurance:
  • Monitor the delivery of treatment services to ensure they are consistent with the facility’s mission, vision, and goals.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, accrediting bodies, and facility policies.
  • Conduct regular audits and quality assurance checks to ensure adherence to clinical standards.
  • Review client progress and recommend modifications to treatment plans as necessary.
  • Staff Development & Training:
  • Conduct or arrange for ongoing training and professional development for staff on best practices in SUD treatment.
  • Provide guidance on ethical, legal, and clinical issues related to substance use disorder treatment.
  • Foster a supportive environment for team members to enhance their professional competence and job satisfaction.
  • Clinical Intervention & Crisis Management:
  • Provide direct clinical care and intervention as needed, including assessment, treatment planning, and therapy.
  • Respond to and manage crises, including assessing risk, ensuring client safety, and intervening when necessary.
  • Offer expertise in managing complex cases, including co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of client interactions, treatment progress, and clinical services.
  • Maintain and monitor client records according to HIPAA regulations and facility standards.
  • Prepare reports for regulatory bodies, funders, and other stakeholders as required.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Foster a collaborative work environment by communicating effectively with staff, clients, families, and external agencies.
  • Coordinate with other health and social service providers to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
  • Represent the facility in meetings with community partners, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
  • Leadership & Team Building:
  • Demonstrate leadership skills by providing direction, motivation, and support to the clinical team.
  • Build and maintain a cohesive, positive team culture that supports high-quality care and client outcomes.
  • Participate in facility leadership meetings, providing feedback and contributing to strategic planning and program development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
  • Must be a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) in State of Ohio.
  • Must have Supervisory credential.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in substance use disorder (SUD) treatment or related field.
  • At least 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
  • Knowledge & Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of clinical practices, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements in the field of SUD treatment and mental health modalities.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
  • Ability to provide clinical supervision in a supportive, constructive, and educational manner.
  • Knowledge of clinical documentation and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, Medicaid/Medicare guidelines).
  • Proficient in the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic office software. CARELOGIC a plus
  • Licenses/Certifications:
  • Current LISW license in Ohio with Supervisory credential.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or the ability to obtain within a specified time frame).

Preferred:

  • Experience with a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), etc.
  • Knowledge of community resources and referral networks for individuals with SUD and LGBTQ+ .

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 – $35.50 per hour
