Position: Therapist
General Responsibilities:
The Therapist will be under the direction of the Case Manager Supervisor and will be primarily responsible for providing therapeutic services for the residents of the facility, as well as conduct intake assessments under the supervision of the Case Manager Supervisor, as requested, by DCS.
Duties:
1. Provide regular therapeutic services for an individual caseload of clients referred by Program Case Managers at the facility.
2. Conduct intake process after admission to program to evaluate clients’ physical or mental condition, based on review of available client information and interview(s) with client.
3. Complete psychological assessments as requested by DCS.
4. Provide a clinical diagnosis for clients, as necessary, through use of DSM-5 and consultation with Case Manager Supervisor.
5. Participate in Child and Family Team Meetings, as requested, to provide updates on treatment goals.
6. Complete documentation for resident case records in a timely manner and provide to Program Case Managers.
7. Perform crisis interventions with clients when necessary.
8. Follow all applicable policies of Wayne Halfway House, Inc.
9. Demonstrate competence in cultural knowledge, awareness, and sensitivity.
Qualifications and Experience:
A therapist must have at least a master’s degree from an accredited academic program in a field related to Social Science or relevant field such as Counseling, Psychology, or Behavioral Science. Master’s degree is required. This person can have NO FELONY CONVICTIONS
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $45,000.00 per year
