NaphCare is hiring strong Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at the Wayne County Jail located in Detroit, MI. Come learn correctional healthcare as you use our cutting-edge resources, including our award winning electronic operating system.
This position is responsible for helping patients safely overcome their addictions by providing drug and alcohol education, assessing inmates through CIWA, CIWA-B and COWs, working with Mental Health on a treatment and detoxification process and medication administration.

- Conduct weekly group substance abuse counseling sessions for male and female inmates with Opioid use Disorder
- Provide psychoeducation about substance abuse to male and female inmates with Opioid use Disorder
- Data collection and data entry
- Experience working in corrections is a plus, but not required

Degree/Certification Qualifications: Minimum of Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) required, but LCADC preferred
