Children’s Therapy Place is the only full-service outpatient pediatric therapy clinic in the Treasure Valley. Our clinics provide behavioral and developmental support through our developmental disabilities agency as well as speech and language services, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and mental health counseling.

Job Summary:
The Mental Health Department Manager is responsible for leading and directing the successful performance of the mental health and CBRS departments. The manager will provide counseling to children of all ages as assigned to help them maximize performance abilities and use skills learned to the fullest in the home, school, and community within the limits of their capabilities. The manager will provide supervision and mentorship to all mental health department staff, CBRS staff and additional staff as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Supervises all Mental Health Counselors, Community Based Rehabilitation Services (CBRS) staff, and additional staff as assigned.

What you’ll do:
  • Reviews documentation and provides co-signatures on documents as needed for all mental health and CBRS staff.
  • Provides clinical consultation for staff as needed.
  • Provides quality assurance (QA) for client charts as required to ensure compliance with Optum and Medicaid.
  • Ensure compliance for all staff with licensing regulations, and Medicaid and Optum regulations.
  • Acts as a liaison between CTP and other various agencies such as State Behavioral Health System, Department of Rehabilitation, School Districts/schools. and other private and public social service and mental health agencies.
  • Leads monthly departmental meetings for mental health and CBRS staff.
  • Provides individual and group clinical supervision for mental health counselors and CBRS staff.
  • Participates in talent acquisition, interview process, onboarding/training of all new mental health counselors and CBRS staff.
  • Assists with program development and marketing as needed.
  • Submits weekly reports to the Director of Behavioral Health regarding the MH department.

Education and Experience:
  • Master’s degree.
  • Idaho LCPC licensure with Supervisor endorsement required and must be maintained in accordance with state regulations.
  • 3-5 years pediatric counseling experience preferred.
