Community House is looking to fill the position of Jail Diversion Program Coordinator.

 Full-Time Salaried (35 hours/week)

 


Full medical, dental, disability, 25 plus days off per year to start.

 


Program Summary (may fluctuate):

 

The Jail Diversion Team (LINC) will work closely with Prosecuting Attorney offices in Seattle and King County, to provide services to recently released inmates whose cases included questions of competency, will work to provide any and all resources to clients including housing and/or shelter resources, referrals, and placements, DSHS and SSI benefits establishment and reinstatement, will develop and maintain a comprehensive list of community resources, aid clients in securing means of transportation as necessary, will provide referrals to and provide aid in integrating services for clients with mental health, chemical dependency, and primary care providers, and will participate in staff meetings and trainings.

 


Jail Diversion Coordinator Job Summary (may fluctuate):

 

The Jail Diversion Coordinator supervises the Jail Diversion Team. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Jail Diversion Coordinator is responsible for the regulatory compliance of the program, together with adherence to all company policies and procedures. This position works as part of a the Jail Diversion Team, and provides Jail Diversion services, meets established program goals, and establishes long term community support for clients in offsite settings while attending to staffing needs, hiring/firing, and governmental compliance.

 


Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Must have at least 2 years experience working in mental health.
  • Must have a Master’s level degree, MSW or MA/MS in mental health related field, or have documentation that you are in, and will be completing a Masters program in a mental health related field within 2 years, to meet criteria for MHP.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

 

 

Skills Required: Ability to work independently and within a team. Must have 2+ years of previous professional experience working with people who have severe and persistent mental health conditions and/or diagnoses. Supervisory experience is preferred.

 


Salary: 
$50,000 – $60,000 (upper range of salary is for coordinator position)
