Northwest Center for Behavioral Health is recruiting for compassionate, dedicated individuals at our Lighthouse Substance Abuse Facility in Woodward! Help us make a difference in the lives of all Oklahomans. About the Position: Our Mental Health Technician (MHT) under close supervision, provides non-professional direct or indirect care for consumers of behavioral health treatment in a residential care setting. This includes participation in de-escalation activities and assuring that consumers are kept safe. This position works as a role model for consumers, demonstrating effective problem solving and decision making skills and will assist in providing recreational and therapeutic activities for the consumer. Our MHT verify the location of our consumers every 15 minutes, monitor their responses to medications and record patient information in electronic medical records.

Job Type/Salary:

  • Application Period: 04/07/2022 – Until Filled
  • Full-time (8 hour shifts)
  • Base Salary $28,288.20 ($13.60/hour)
    • Extra $.43/hour for working evenings and nights
    • Extra $.75/hour for working weekends
    • Extra $1/hour for working on an inpatient or crisis unit
  • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
  • Number of Vacancies – 1 (One)

We are licensed and Joint Commission accredited since 1974. We provide complete mental health and substance abuse services for the individuals of Northwest Oklahoma in our outpatient offices, residential substance abuse program and our inpatient psychiatric unit.

Special Requirements:

  • Applicant must be able to pass an OSBI background.
  • Applicant must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license.
  • Upon a conditional offer of employment, applicants for safety sensitive positions shall be required to submit to urinalysis to test for drugs. Appointment to a safety sensitive position shall be contingent upon a negative drug test result.
  • (if Required) Applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and be able to pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.

THIS AGENCY REQUIRES COVERAGE 24 HOURS, 7 DAYS PER WEEK. WORK HOURS AND LOCATION MAY VARY DEPENDING ON BUSINESS NECESSITY. EMPLOYEES MAY BE REQUIRED TO WORK WEEKENDS AND OVERTIME.
