Job Overview

Neurotherapeutic Pediatric Therapies is currently seeking licensed mental health therapists (LMFT, LPC, and LCSW with systemic training preferred) and unlicensed (registered MFT and Professional Counselor associates) therapists to join our team. Must have experience or a passion for working with kids and their families, most importantly, kids with autism and other childhood special needs. We also work with many foster/adoptive families.
With a focus on holistic client care, the Licensed Mental Health Therapist must apply a multidisciplinary approach to promote optimum outcomes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health clients. This position is accountable to the Mental Health Therapy Director/Clinical Supervisor in matters of clinical compliance for mental health under the requirement of her/his licensing board in accordance with Federal and Oregon state regulations.

Positions Available:

  • Licensed: Full-time and Part-time positions available in multiple clinic locations. NE Portland, McMinnville, Hillsboro, Canby, Wilsonville, and Clackamas (mostly in-person with opportunity for some telehealth services).
  • Unlicensed: Full-time and Part-time positions are available in multiple clinic locations. NE Portland, McMinnville, Hillsboro, Canby, Wilsonville, and Clackamas (mostly in-person with opportunity for some telehealth services).

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual, family, parent, couples, and group therapy utilizing evidence-based treatments.
  • Providing in-person services (required) and telehealth experience is a must.
  • Conduct assessments and develop measurable, time-limited treatment plans.
  • Advocate for individuals by coordinating client care with outside agencies to increase consistency between the home and community.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation of session content, interventions, and treatment.
  • Manage confidential clinical records and perform related clinical responsibilities such as case records management.
  • Obtain consultation twice quarterly (licensed) or 2-3x/month (unlicensed/registered associate, based on client hours per month) via Clinical Supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a mental health-related field (QMHP) required; Licensed through OBLPCT is required when applying for a licensed position; registered with OBLPCT as MFT Associate or Professional Counselor Associate if not licensed.
  • More than 3 years of experience in a broad range of clinical interventions and mental health assessments specific to children, adolescents, and families when applying for a licensed position; 1 year when applying to an unlicensed position.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct a mental health assessment, including identifying precipitating events, gathering histories of mental and physical health, alcohol and other drug use, past mental health services, assessing family, social and working relationships, and conducting a mental status examination; complete Diagnostic Criteria for a DSM-V/ICD-10 diagnosis; write and supervise the implementation of a Service Plan; and provide individual, family and/or group therapy within the scope of their training.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide culturally-competent treatment services to diverse client populations and maintain a cooperative working relationships with others in a culturally diverse environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of treatment methods for individual, family, and group therapy to address mental health needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide case management services in accordance with federal, state, and/or funding source requirements as well as Neurotherapeutic Pediatric Therapies’ policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of community resources and treatment agencies enabling appropriate referrals for specific client needs.
  • Knowledge of medications commonly used by the client population.
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Word. Ability to master proprietary software including electronic health record system required.
  • Strong organizational/time management skills; ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills demonstrated by the ability to communicate effectively and relate congenially with parents, children, clinic staff, providers, and community referral representatives.
  • Proven understanding of standards and practices governing client confidentiality; demonstrated ability to preserve client confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of and willingness to adhere to mandated reporting requirements as stated by law; working knowledge of generally accepted QA standards and procedures.
  • The position requires moderate physical activity such as sitting, traveling, walking, driving, bending, lifting, and computer usage.
  • Valid Oregon ID.
  • Meet and provide State of Oregon vaccine compliance requirements for Healthcare providers.
