Position: Part-Time Licensed Clinical Social Worker
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker is responsible for supporting Board Certified Behavior Analyst’s (BCBA) in providing Medicaid funded services for one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, taking place in a center-based environment. This position will work collaboratively with the Lighthouse Autism Center Clinical Team to deliver the highest quality ABA services to children with autism. Additionally, the position will provide support to families of children enrolled in center-based ABA therapy through the leadership and development of a new parent and family program that will provide support to families of those children enrolled in ABA therapy services.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Licensed in the state of Illinois)
- Experience working with children and/or families of children on the autism spectrum
- Must be open to learning about the principles of Behavior Analysis and its impacts on children with autism
- Effective collaborator on a multidisciplinary team
- Preferences given to those who have worked with Behavior Analysts or in an ABA program previously
- Professional level verbal, written, communication skills
- Team player with a passion for delivering quality clinical care
- Willingness to travel up to an hour for monthly site visits as needed
Responsibilities (include, but not limited to):
1. Meeting with BCBA’s to review their recommended treatment plans for children enrolled in ABA therapy services.
2. Collaborate on a multidisciplinary team including BCBA’s, SLP’s and RBT’s.
3. Provide support to families of children enrolled in ABA services.
4. Host and develop curriculum for bi-monthly parent support group meetings.
Schedule: 20 hours a week. Flexible schedule Monday through Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm.
Location: Role will be based out of the Champaign Center but there are opportunities for the right candidate to work from home with some duties requiring to be physically in the center.
