Job Overview

Our Mission
The mission of Concordance is to dramatically reduce reincarceration rates by precisely and rigorously executing our holistic, integrated, evidence-informed re-entry model, focusing equally on process and art.
Purpose of the Position
The Pre-Release Therapist delivers individual and group sessions with quality and fidelity to the Concordance Re-Entry Model for participants in pre-release while they are still incarcerated. This position is responsible for ensuring the participant develops their Life Plan.
The Pre-Release Therapist reports to the EVP, Head of Behavioral Health and Wellness.
Major Duties
  • Deliver assigned individual and group sessions from the Concordance Re-entry Model to quality and fidelity
  • Conduct assessments at the points of time identified in the Concordance Re-entry Model
  • Facilitate the development of the participants Life Plan, evaluate participant Life Plan progress, refine goals as appropriate and identify necessary support
  • Employ cognitive behavioral programming and motivational interviewing to support, encourage, and retain participants progressing through pre-release phase of the programming and the development of their Life Plan
  • Oversee the coordination and integration of participants’ pre-release clinical services into post-release within a multidisciplinary environment
  • Maintain quality and fidelity to manuals, assessments, and decision-making processes
  • Maintain and update records for assigned participants in the Concordance Academy database system on a timely basis
  • Member of and participate in inter-disciplinary team assigned to participant, providing input on progress through Concordance Re-Entry Model Phases
  • Work within the constraints of correctional setting, complying with all institutional rules regarding safety and security
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with Academy participants, prison staff and administration, team members, volunteers, community partners and adhere to Academy policies
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure Concordance Academy continues to be the best
Required Licensure, Education, and Experience
  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or related counseling field
  • LCSW or LPC
  • 2-5 years of experience with mental health, dually diagnosed, substance use treatment, or other vulnerable or high-risk populations
  • Experience conducting therapeutic groups
  • Driver’s license
Preferred Licensure, Education, and Experience
  • Experience with one or more of the following: DBT, CBT, Mental Health
  • Experience in assessment and diagnosis
  • Experience with the 12 Steps
Total Compensation
Concordance offers employer contributions to medical, dental, vision, group life, short and long-term disability, and a comprehensive Employee Assistance Program. Salary for this role: $55,000-70,000 annually plus bonus
