The ideal candidate will be an integral part of our small solution focused team of professionals working in a holistic and collaborate manner with both our medical providers, mental health providers, community partners, and most importantly, individuals receiving services from CBS.

We seek licensed social workers with experience working with marginalized communities. Ideal candidate will have previous experience working with culturally diverse populations. We only serve underappreciated and marginalized consumers.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Delivery of a wide variety of programs and services to support individuals and families from underserved/marginalized communities.
  • Educate the public about the needs of culturally diverse services.
  • Changing lives by reaching those who would otherwise not be served.
  • Providing information and referral services to navigate the complex delivery system that can impede access to services.
  • Advocating for policy and system change which promote rights and benefits to the communities we serve.
  • Promoting mental health and well-being for all individuals through education and training.
  • Providing individual, group, and community-based interventions, both short and long term.
  • Individual therapy sessions.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • A graduate of an accredited graduate level mental health program.
  • Current Michigan licensure.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Behavioral Health and one year of post license experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Writing samples will be required during the interview process.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Centers for Behavioral Solutions’ mission.
  • Knowledge, interest, and ability to provide effective patient teaching and health promotion counseling.
  • Ability to function effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team providing client-centered, medically accurate, research- based care.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • BILINGUAL (Spanish-English) preferred, not required.

  • Position is primarily based in and around Bay County.
  • This is a contract position. We provide all the referrals, the billing and the administrative actions. You are paid between 55 to 60 percent of whatever you bill. This is an ideal position for someone seeking part time or full time work.
