POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
The Roadrunner Hub Basic Needs Resource Center is looking for a passionate and dedicated team member to coordinate service delivery to students experiencing basic needs insecurity. The successful candidate will:

  • Oversee the daily operations, activities, staffing and services of the Basic Needs Resource Center, also known as the Roadrunner Hub.
  • Act as a broker in identifying, supporting and linking students to services on- and off- campus including housing, food, mental health, hygiene items, clothing as well as other services and resources.
  • Prepare and distribute promotional materials, maintain basic needs website and conduct outreach activities and special events to reduce stigma and inform students on how to access and enroll in basic needs services.
  • Educate the campus and the community about basic needs efforts and help coordinate and promote basic needs initiatives and campaigns on campus.
  • Maintain key databases, conduct surveys and compile and deliver reports to key campus and community stakeholders about basic needs issues and resource utilization.
  • Develop on- and off- campus partnerships and funding opportunities to provide basic needs services and resources to students.
The work schedule is Monday – Thursday, 7:30 am – 5:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am – 12:00 pm. Schedule may be adjusted to accommodate special events and/or needs. Over the summer the schedule changes to Monday – Thursday, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • The successful applicant will be required to complete a medical history questionnaire and must agree to undergo and pass a pre-employment physical examination, based on the physical requirements of the position, prior to employment. The physician will be selected and paid for by the District. Disabilities not related to the essential physical job requirements will not preclude the applicant from being hired.
  • Education Code § 87408.6 states that no person shall be initially employed by a community college district in an academic or classified position unless the person has submitted to an examination within the past sixty (60) days to determine that he or she is free of active tuberculosis.
  • As a condition of employment, the position you are applying for will require that you provide fingerprints to the local police department. The fee charged by the Department of Justice (DOJ) for the fingerprint report is the employee’s responsibility. If you should be offered this position you will be asked to sign a payroll deduction form which will authorize the District to deduct the fee charged by the DOJ from your first paycheck.

The eligible list established from this recruitment will be used to fill the current vacancy and possibly future vacancies for positions with the same class specification.
