Job Overview

Adelphi is seeking a psychiatrist to work at the agency in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The psychiatrist will provide consultations to the agency’s staff members. The psychiatrist will provide consultations in the areas of mental health, substance use disorders, and developmental disabilities. In addition, the psychiatrist should be experienced in teaching, consulting, and treating behavioral, mental, and developmental issues. The psychiatric consultant should also be knowledgeable of Wyoming’s mental health and substance abuse systems and culture.

Requirements:
  • Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
  • Certified by American Board of Addiction Medicine.
  • Active Wyoming license.
Responsibilities:
  • Review approximately 150 cases annually and participate in weekly team case reviews.
  • Provide psychiatric expertise in the areas of mental illness, substance abuse disorders, and developmental disabilities.
  • Participate in consultation, education, and quality assurance activities as directed by the agency.
  • Maintain flexibility within schedules to work on other projects allocated by the agency.
  • Attend state or national conferences to gain specialized knowledge pertaining to ongoing work.
  • Travel occasionally to perform quality assurance activities such as clinical site visits.
