GENERAL SUMMARYThe Psychiatric Technician provides care to meet the emotional, rehabilitative, and psychical needs of the psychiatric patients under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. Treats all patients with dignity and respect at all times during their hospitalization. Maintains confidentiality regarding the patient’s identity and psychiatric condition. Limits relationships with patients to therapeutic activities within the confines of the overall treatment goals.

 

Work Location: Washington D.C.

 

Full time – 7am-7pm

 

Minimum Education and Experience:

 

  • Graduation from high school with further preparation from one of the following sources:
    • Minimum two years of college with academic work in psychology or related field.
    • Graduation from an approved psychiatric technician training program.
    • Experience working as a Clinical Associate, Nursing Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or Psychiatric Technician.

2. Current CPR Certification required.
