JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • The Associate Director, Educational Services at the Emory Autism Center (EAC) will oversee all educational aspects of the Early Emory Child Development and Enrichment center.
  • Working with the director of the Emory Autism Center, responsibilities include teacher hiring, training, and management, and curriculum development and implementation for educational and support to promote language, social and adaptive behavior development.
  • Supervises classroom environmental set-up and building-related matters.
  • Works with families of children at the school related to feedback about their children and solicits input from parents and families regarding the school.
  • Working with the Division administrator and finance staff, ensures timely manner billing and tuition collection.
  • Ensures compliance with state, university and practice policies and procedures and national accreditation and state licensing of the school.
  • Engages in philanthropy and fundraising efforts to support the school and liaisons with local and state government leaders around policy development for autism and for early childhood education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master’s Degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or related field and five years’ experience working in early childhood education.
  • Must be at least 18 years old, have reliable transportation and pass a background check.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities preferred.
NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
