Liberation-Based Therapy, LCSW is accepting applications for fee-for-service therapist positions.

Liberation-Based Therapy LCSW, PLLC (also dba The Liberated Us) is a startup psychotherapeutic group practice founded in May 2021 by Tanisha Sabine Christie, MA, LCSW. The practice is focused on supporting mental health and wellness through the lens of liberation-based healing practices.
The work offered is emotionally-focused, culturally affirming with a strengths-based perspective. It is intended for those who are experiencing anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, emotional distress, relationship and career struggles, stress management, complex trauma, generational trauma histories and other challenges toward living well.
The practice focuses on BIPOC, immigrant communities / stories, LGBTQIA2S+ and intimate partnerships, including integrated families and open relationship structures. We work with individuals, couples, families and small groups in treatment therapy, and provide wellness screenings for individuals and wellness work within arts organizations.
We provide a range of services, including psychotherapy, supervision, groups and workshops, and consultation.
We’re currently hiring multiple fee-for-service psychotherapists full (20 – 25 clients a week) and part-time (10 – 15) clients per week.
COVID-19: Liberation-Based Therapy values the wellness of our team, communities and clients. This practice currently operates with 100% remote work. This means that scheduling clients is more flexible and more based on your needs. There are no plans to open a physical office at this time unless there is a significant shift in client demand.
You are a someone who is a:
• LMSW/LCSW/LMHCs/LMFTs seeking experience and to advance their clinical skills in a private setting and want to work in a group practice environment.
• LCSWs/LCSW/LMHCs/LMFTs who are interested in working privately, but don’t want to independently manage the administrative side of being in private practice.
• LMSWs/MHC-LP who want to accrue clinical hours in a private setting
• Understands for themselves what this work means for them in their own lives; and has active ways to manage the energetic load of this work. This work is not only about giving; it is also about receiving.

The work with US:
• Provides psychotherapy services to a caseload minimum of 25 clients for full-time; 10-15 for part-time; availability for evenings and/or weekends is helpful to maximize meeting client scheduling needs
• Phone consultations
• Maintaining case notes, logs and all required documentation
• Participates in weekly tailored individual and group clinical supervision and monthly team meeting
• Assists in creation and implementation of workshops, trainings and seminars, as opportunities arise
• Marketing tasks for self and the practice
Requirements:
• Has a LMSW, LCSW, LCSW-R, MHC-LP, LMHC, LMFT and be licensed in New York
• Education, training, and interest in implementing modalities, such as CBT, IFS, mindfulness treatments, trauma-informed practices, somatic treatments, liberation-based modalities, and psychodynamic psychotherapy; with an interest in continued learning.
• At least 1 year of experience in assessment, treatment planning, and providing psychotherapy and/or direct client contact.
• A desire to commit to a minimum of 2 years with Liberation-Based Therapy, LCSW. We are looking for therapists who want a place to grow and flourish with like-minded colleagues.
• Be available to meet client’s scheduling needs which might include at least 1 weekend day, early mornings, and evenings
• For those seeking to do couple/family or multi partner work, at least 2 years of experience in providing couples, multiple partner relationships and/or family therapy (Training settings are ok).
• Must be versed in BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+ issues and have deep understanding of critical consciousness and structural/systemic challenges that are of concern.
• Organized and able to submit progress notes and respond to emails in a timely manner, in accordance our office policies
• Comfortable in start-up and virtual environments.
• Comfortable in networking and marketing
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Compensation:
• $40-45 per session starting compensation depending on licensure and experience
• Per session rates increased for specialized workshops and groups as opportunities arise.
Employee status for those LMSWs/MHC-LPs accruing hours will receive:
• Psychology Today or marketing platform paid for
• Malpractice insurance paid
• NY mandatory sick pay & disability leave, for those who qualify.
